Montage Kapalua Bay Announces New Water Experiences

On the crystal-clear waters of West Maui, experience a diverse range of local marine life and a chance to encounter sea turtles, dolphins, tropical fish and the seasonal whale population. As you paddle along the coastline surrounding Kapalua Bay, admire stunning views of lush tropical foliage, volcanic rock formations and a vibrant bird population. This is a 1.5-hour experience. All guests must be able to swim, pull themselves into a kayak from the water and wear a life jacket. This experience is suitable for guests 10 years of age and older who meet all of the above requirements. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Other water experiences recently introduced include Kapalua Bay Shore Dive and Intro to Scuba Diving.

Tales of the Kapa Moe – New Luau and Dinner Show at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua is delighted to showcase its latest offering, Tales of the Kapa Moe, a brand-new luau and dinner show. This one-of-a-kind feast for all senses immerses guests in a magical journey through Hawaii’s captivating stories, culture and traditions. Located in the newly renovated Aloha Garden Pavilion, Tales of the Kapa Moe showcases authentic Hawaiian chanting and hula, beautifully handmade costumes, an aerial performance, and a dramatic fire knife dance.

“We are thrilled to introduce Tales of the Kapa Moe, which has been designed exclusively for The Ritz-Carlton Maui to celebrate the stories of the Hawaiian people,” said Andrew Rogers, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Maui. “Our guests have always appreciated the authentic cultural experiences at our resort, and this is the perfect way for them to enjoy something new and unique.” 

“Our dreams spark magic and inspiration,” said kumu hula and cultural practitioner Pono Murray, who created the show. “In Tales of the Kapa Moe, the stories of our ancestors come alive in a night of excitement, creativity and wonder. This mesmerizing experience goes above and beyond the expected lūʻau, yet remains deeply rooted within the rich and powerful presentations of Hawaiʻi. The chanting is live, costuming is handmade, and dances are sultry, vibrant and explosive.”  

Enjoy a lei greeting and welcome Hawaii Mimosa or Hawaiian Spritz Mocktail upon your arrival. An expansive buffet featuring a variety of creative interpretations on local favorites, a ‘make-your-own’ Poke bar, an array sweets and desserts as well as signature Mai Tais and full bar. The buffet starts with presentation of the Imu or full pig that has been roasted over an open fire.

31st Annual Celebrationof the Arts

Mark your calendars for Celebration of the Arts, the state of Hawai‘i’s premier cultural event, taking place April 7-8 at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua. This year’s signature eventʻs theme is heʻaha koʻu kuleana, or “What is my responsibility?” Residents and visitors alike are invited to experience the heart and soul of Hawaiʻi through artisans, cultural practitioners, workshops, films, music, hula performances, food, and more. Guests can look forward to the Celebration of Island Tastes and the 2nd annual Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Haʻihaʻi Falsetto Contest as well as hands-on excursions with community nonprofits Hui O Waʻa Kaulua and Puʻu Kukui Watershed.
