Kapalua Golf has a long tradition of excellence since its inception in 1982. This year, the perennially highly rated Plantation Course is undergoing a refinement project aimed at refining and revitalizing the 28-year-old golf course. The work includes: resurfacing all greens with Tif Eagle Bermuda; renovating every bunker on the golf course; and re-grassing tees, fairways and roughs with state-of-the-art Celebration Bermuda turf. The Kapalua Golf team is planning on a soft opening in November with the intention of the course being in pristine condition by January 1, 2020 for The Sentry Tournament of Champions. The project is being led by the course’s original designers, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw; Troon’s Design, Development and Agronomy team; as well as long-time Kapalua resident and Golf Channel personality Mark Rolfing. http://www.golfatkaplaua.com
